Does anyone know a short story about a little boy puking up over the food for his mum's engagement party? - short engagement sayings butterfly

I came across this story in the 1980s.
The child's mother is about to marry, the reader can see that the man threatening and sadistic. No one takes care of the child's engagement party, and slips into the kitchen and help themselves of food and drink awaits. He gets drunk, vomits and waste of all. The bridegroom comes and his reaction to his girlfriend could finally see through them.
